Wir haben unsere Tochter kurz aus den Augen verloren - zum Glück hatte sie das Armband an. Am Ende hat sich alles von selbst geklärt, aber das Gefühl der Sicherheit war Gold wert.

Funktioniert wie beschrieben, aber die Einrichtung über den QR-Code hat beim ersten Versuch nicht geklappt. Beim zweiten Mal dann problemlos.

You decide yourself which info is visible in the emergency profile. On top of that, anonymous contact via forwarding is always available to you — no personal data is ever printed on the bracelet itself.
For most situations it's a useful building block, not a must — and it covers two different cases: in an accident, a first responder can view important medical info like allergies or pre-existing conditions in the profile. If your child has simply wandered off, on the other hand, what matters most is getting in direct contact with you — anonymity isn't the point here. It doesn't replace supervision, but in both cases it gives a fast way to reach you.
A GPS tracker, kids' smartwatch, or AirTag actively locates your child for you — usually via a subscription (an AirTag also only within the Apple ecosystem, and it's not officially intended for tracking people). The SOS bracelet enables finders or helpers to contact you directly and gives insight into important emergency information about your child. Both approaches complement each other; no subscription is needed for the contact function.

That depends on your child's developmental stage, not a fixed age. Our sizes range from Knirps (1–3 years) to Wirbel (3–6 years) to Explorer (6–10 years) — it's especially useful as long as your child can't reliably state your phone number yet.
