Why a business card as QR Code?

Classic business cards often end up in the bin. A vCard QR code on the back of your card, your letterhead or your email signature lets recipients save your details to their phone in seconds – no typing, no typos. What is vCard and why is it the right standard?

vCard is the universal format for digital contact cards – supported by iOS, Android, Outlook and all common address book apps. Our generator creates vCard 3.0, which offers the widest compatibility.

How does an iPhone open a vCard from the QR code?

Hold the camera over the QR code – iOS automatically recognises it as a vCard. The standard contact dialog opens. Tap 'Add New Contact' and all fields are transferred directly to your address book. No app, no detours.

Can I print the contact QR code on my business card?

Yes, and it's highly recommended. Download the code as SVG – SVG is losslessly scalable and delivers razor-sharp printing even at small sizes (1.5 × 1.5 cm). Most print shops accept SVG directly.

How many fields can I fill in?

You can enter first name, last name, phone, email, company, website and address. All fields except the name are optional.

Is my data stored?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your contact details are not transmitted to servers.

What happens if my number changes?
